Quality Management

Mainzeal places a high priority on quality assurance, and has put into place an extensive quality system that is certified nationally to the ISO9001-2008 quality standard. The system is subject to twice-yearly external audits, which are conducted by JAS-ANZ accredited quality auditors.

In addition to external audits to maintain our certification, we employ a system of internal audits. Projects are audited bi-monthly for compliance with our quality system. The results of these audits are passed on to our area and divisional managers and closely monitored.

Our Quality Management System is structured on three levels.

1. POLICIES

Key directives from the Mainzeal board include: the vision and mission statement, core values, quality policy, health and safety policy, environmental policy, rehabilitation policy and training.

2. PROCEDURES

These describe in detail the company management requirements that apply to all divisions and departments. Examples include: strategic and business planning, the crisis plan, quality manual, purchasing procedure, inspection and test planning, control on non-conforming product and corrective action, quality audits, staff development and training, employee induction and a safety management system.

3. PROJECT QUALITY PLAN (PMP)

The PQP is a collection of policies and procedures, appropriate to, and made specifically for, a particular project. Mainzeal’s project management team develops the PQP for each project and uses the management procedures appropriate to the operation of that project, assembling them to form the overall project plan.
